Adding prescription management
Adding prescription management to your CVS.com® account adds unparalleled personalization and convenience. We'll help you manage your family's prescriptions with features like:
- Prescription reminders for all of the accounts you manage
- A prescription calendar with upcoming refills, prescription expirations and more
- Your current prescription list with time and money-saving suggestions
- A printable prescription history
- The opportunity to manage prescriptions for your family
You can sign up for prescription management once you create a CVS.com® account. You'll just need to complete a one-time, two-step verification process.
Completing the verification process
A one-time, two-step verification process ensures that only identified CVS/pharmacy customers can access prescription information.
In step one, you'll provide some information from one of your prescription labels so we can locate your prescription records. In step two, you'll be asked four questions in a process similar to that used by banks, credit card companies and other organizations. Your answers will only be used to make sure that the person requesting access is actually you. CVS/pharmacy associates can't view or access the questions or answers, and the information will not be retained by CVS/pharmacy or any third party.

Viewing prescriptions online
To view your prescriptions on CVS.com®, you'll need to add Prescription Management to your account.
Adding a child to the prescriptions you manage
To view, order and manage prescriptions for a minor under 18 years of age, create a CVS.com® account. Then go to the Family Prescription Accounts tab on the Pharmacy page, click the Add a Minor button, and follow the steps.
Adding an adult to the prescriptions you manage
To view, order and manage prescriptions for an adult over 18 years of age, you'll both need CVS.com® accounts. Your adult family member will need to add Prescription Management and authorize you as his or her Rx Caregiver.
To get started, go to the Family Prescription Accounts tab on the Pharmacy page, click the Add an Adult button, and follow the steps.

To get started, go to the Create an Account page, enter and confirm your email address (which becomes your User ID), and choose a password. You’ll also be asked for information necessary to set up and protect your account.
As you set up your account, you can choose to:
- Receive offer-filled CVS.com® emails.
- Attach your ExtraCare card to your account to earn rewards on online purchases and check your Savings & Rewards online.
- Select Remember Me for a more personalized site experience.
Once you create your account, you can enhance it by:
- Adding Prescription Management so that you can manage your prescriptions online.
