Traveler's diarrhea prevention & care

About this service

When you're traveling outside of the United States, eating and drinking may not agree with your digestive system. Don't let nausea, indigestion, upset stomach, stomach cramps, lower abdominal discomfort or diarrhea ruin the trip for you or your family. Before you leave, we can assess your health risk, prepare you with the right medicines and provide you with tips to avoid stomach related troubles.

What to know before your visit

Be prepared to discuss your travel location(s) and activities.

What to expect at your visit

  1. Sign in at the electronic kiosk to see a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.* No appointment necessary.
  2. Your practitioner will review your medical history, assess your health risk based on your destination, seasonality, duration, etc., and provide a personalized precaution or treatment plan.
  3. At the end of your visit, your practitioner will provide you with a summary, a receipt and educational material.
  4. The summary of your visit can be sent to your primary care provider with your permission.
