With 10 feet of neon el wire, you can create any shape you want for your neon sign. Use the shaping wire to form your design, and then attach the el wire with the zip fasteners to mold it to your desired shape. See directions below. Design the sign: draw out your design on paper at the size you want. TIP: use the letter guide on the back of instruction sheet.
Check sizing: take the neon wire and loosely compare to your design. Adjust the drawn design if it is too big or small.
Bending the wire: straighten a length of shaping wire from the coil. Bend the straight wire into the shape of your design.
Bending the wire: continue bending the shaping wire into the shape of your design. Bend and hide extra wire.
Neon wire: align both ends of the shaping and neon wires. Run neon wire over the bent shaping wire. Use the zip ties to hold both wires together.
Where to add zip ties: attach both wires together with a zip tie at specific areas. Count out the number of areas your design and plan where to tie together. Look for wire ends, overlaps, hard bends and large curves.
Securing zip ties: continue attaching wires with zip ties until design is complete.
